Image Buggery

Check out Toogle — it creates an image of text, from the very text used to search for that image.

Kewl. I installed aview recently using fink, so it’s now a cinch to convert arbitrary images to their ASCII renderings, and this is also a lot of fun…

Unfortunately, WordPress strips styles out from tags — it’s a defect that even blog authors can’t override this — so I’m having a hard time showing the ASCII image that I wanted to in comments, but here it is.

It was actually a bit tricky to get Toogle to create that image for me — I had to fool around with the right search term to get the image I wanted to appear first in the list on Google’s image search. And then, the “image” was so much text, it overflowed our WordPress maximum post size, hence the cut-off chin. Here is the whole thing. The underscore character in the search term I used is what’s causing the diagonal stripes in the image.

I am flattered! My brain almost exploded: is that me or is that my name? or is it both? C Nonsense in BASIC! Hey guys, cheers from Montevideo. I’ll be in Europe on Friday and in Tokyo on Monday, but your little ASCII head will travel with me, deep in my heart :)
