Cosign 2003

Next week I’ll be in Middlesbrough UK for Cosign 2003: Computational Semiotics in Games and New Media. I’ll be presenting a structuralist semiotic treatment of architectural affordances, a way of understanding how AI architectures support meaning-making for both the authors and audiences of AI-based new media work. Hope to see some of you there!

Hi Michael,

I am attending COSIGN 2003! I am presenting there a technical demo of IDtension (Interactive Drama system).

I will be describing Interactive Drama as the temporal unfolding of an atemporal structure of narrative. I attended COSIGN’02 last year, where I could present the theoretical side of this approach to Interactive Drama… Now I am coming back for more practical demonstrations!
